Establishing a large real-life network of nodes is typically impossible in laboratory settings. In order to study the effects of different traffic configurations on the overall network performance, a simulation tool for networked virtual environments was developed. The simulation tool was implemented by using the ns-3 network simulator. The implemented tool supports multiple clients connecting to a server using different types of networks. Both server and the clients can generate traffic, and the server can forward client traffic to another clients taking part in the session.
